About Me

Louise Terry

Throughout my work in tourism, which has travelled from state government and regional tourism to the private and not-for-profit sectors, what has always guided my journey is the drive for tourism and travel to be a positive force - to deepen cultural connections, drive social change, influence wellbeing and enlist custodians for nature.

My love and respect for nature and the environment drives me to align my work with a strong sense of custodianship.

  • Noosa shines in Melbourne

    As head of marketing with Tourism Noosa, I led the ideation, media buy and delivery of major Melbourne activations, pitching destination Noosa to thousands of Melburnians dreaming of a warm winter escape.

  • Media in The Tweed

    Leading PR for The Tweed I delivered a successful bid to host the ASTW Convention, welcoming over 80 leading travel journalists to experience the region on pre- and post-media familiarisations, with strong outcomes.

  • Voices of LGBTQ+ Australia

    As President of GALTA, Australia's LGBTQ+ Travel Association, I initiated a video interview series, Voices of Australia, to keep Australia's welcoming holiday experiences top-of-mind in the Covid non-travelling days.
