Business events are a major economic pillar of tourism and especially of benefit when the host destination can shine.
I've worked to secure and support a range of incredible destination showcase events including the IGLTA Symposium in Melbourne, a global LGBTQ+ industry event, and the Ecotourism Conference in regional Victoria, along with the Australian Society of Travel Writers Convention, including pre- and post-event familiarisations and Australia's first Wellness Tourism Summit in The Tweed, northern NSW.

Strong media relationships and compelling pitches have generated significant editorial value for campaigns and events in The Tweed.
Curating 10 distinct itineraries for 60 media at the ASTW Convention generated 97 articles and over $2.5million in print and digital value while familiarisations for the Northern Rivers Rail Trail have resulted in over $1.1million earned value.
The inaugural 2024 Savour The Tweed event has featured in Gourmet Traveller, Australian Traveller, Explore, Traveller (SMH/The Age), The Weekend Edition and GALAH magazine.

In partnership with Kathmandu, I coordinated a content shoot hiking the Cooloola Great Walk and paddling the Noosa Everglades.
Managing the roll-out of destination Noosa's campaigns resulted in state and national marketing awards, with There's only one Noosa and Noosa, the Relaxation Capital of Australia stand-outs.
I also authored and managed production of Melbourne's first dedicated LGBTQ+ travel guide while with Visit Victoria.
